Thank You for Subscribing Let us tell you how It all began

From a young age, I loved being a caregiver and found joy in making others happy. Whether helping someone or cleaning around the house, I always put my heart into it, and the results were often better than I expected. I wanted to support those who were struggling, like my mother and grandmother, and they appreciated my extra cleaning after long workdays. I cleaned while listening to music or pretended to run a restaurant, making it fun.

In high school, I needed a job to join activities, so I worked in fast food and retail, gaining customer service skills. When I moved in with my father and stepmother, I learned how easy it was to start a small business. I remember distributing flyers for a service called Odd Jobs which included cleaning and lawn care. Ultimately, I mostly worked for family friends, cleaning to earn money during high school.

After high school, I wasn't sure what career to pursue, so my mom suggested becoming a CNA. I hesitated and tried various jobs like serving and retail. In 2013, after having my second child, I realized my minimum wage job wasn't enough. After being homeless, I met a landlord who offered me a home in exchange for cleaning his properties, paying me $20 an hour and reducing my rent. He encouraged me to start a cleaning service, but I wasn't ready then. Instead, I began working at a CBRF, and that marked the start of my caregiving journey. I discovered a passion for working with elderly and disabled individuals, enjoying our time together—doing hair and nails, learning about their past, and helping organize their living spaces, always with their permission.

While working at a residential care facility, I took on several housekeeping jobs for hotels before joining an environmental cleaning company. I quickly became a supervisor and gained experience in office and commercial cleaning. After several years in caregiving, I also became a family childcare provider during Covid. I enjoyed working with kids but found it challenging with my fourth child on the way. So, I left that role and returned to caregiving in various facilities, where I was promoted to supervisor twice. However, I felt a strong desire to work for myself. Working for others in a field I loved was draining my passion. In 2022, I started my own cleaning service. I faced many ups and downs and still accepted jobs from time to time, but I persevered. I also pursued further education to provide independent care, focusing on the individual needs of clients instead of just following schedules. I completed the Certified Direct Care Professional course to enhance my skills and offer non-medical service options during my cleaning jobs.

I almost gave up, but a great friend and my family's support encouraged me to rebuild my company and add care services. This is how we became Family of Servants Cleaning and Care Services LLC.

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Corinthians 10:31
